3.0 expansions cards are stupid, buy something like this to place on your desk; way more useful plus you can use it as an extension cable with out worrying about loss of signal since it draws its own power.

I have 3 usb 3.0 ports used on that pci-e 2x slot usb card without problems. Lots of bandwidth.

not true, older cheaper usb hubs had issues, especially the ones that only drew power from the computer. You can have every single port being used at once on the one I linked above and be just be fine and dandy. Was not even an issue with there 2.0 version so the 3.0 version that has like 10 times the throughput speed you can imagine how little it matters.
