I'm having a sound issue, it seems to be directly related to the new starship flying over Oculus Home. The skymap starship causes popping/stuttering in my headphones when it appears, and that popping/stuttering only gets worse when actually playing inside Bridge Crew. The popping/stuttering does not start until the skybox home starship appears, but once it does appear, it never goes away. This brand new popping/stuttering affects all of my games, and the sound within the Home itself. It is very bad. What can be done?

I bought Bridge Crew from the Oculus Store, but it seems that maybe I should have done that through Steam because of cross platform compatibility. More people are playing it on Steam. Is it possible to get a Steam key?

Where do you live at.  It is $57.99 CAD.  I got it for $7.99 after I used my $50 Oculus credit.  IT's a great game.  Love the COOP aspect of it.

I did not have a Uplay account, so before I could even start the game, I had to create one.  Problem is, the app would not let me create the account from the desktop, within the "create account" window the game itself opened, (downloaded from the oculus store). I entered the required information, but the "create account" button remained dimmed.  So, support tells me to try creating an account from within a browser!  Not a great first impression. When I try to enter the same username, I bet it will say "that user name is already taken, try again" even though it didn't go through!  :s

Biggest issue right now is the ship getting stuck after warp or impulse travels. I'd say it happens about 50% of the times, which makes finishing a Mission virtually impossible.

so what does one actually do in this game? you sit at the bridge, can you shoot the torpedos and fight other intergalatic species.
But it could buy me a boat
It could buy me a truck to pull it
It could buy me a Yeti 110 iced down with some silver bullets

@danknugz - You sit on the bridge, what you can do depends on which station role you are playing. Captain issues orders at the other three deciding the tactics for each mission. Helm moves the ship; thrusters, impulse and warp. Tactical scans other ships, fires Phasers, and torpedoes. Engineering manages the ships systems and repairs any that are damaged. Its all put together so you have to cooperate and work as a team and you generally have to say "Aye Aye Captain" a lot or "I'm giving her all she's got Captain" or if playing as Klingon "that's illogical Captain". The missions have a certain formula and set path which means that various tactics will achieve the outcome with greater or lesser degrees but you wont be able to do everything you want. Choices have to be made which may result in the deaths of fellow federation civilians or damage to the ship. You can play on your own but issuing orders to the AI stations is incredibly tedious and no fun compared to playing with 3 other Rifters / Vive'ers - Tip: try to exclude all the PSVR noobs from your games, in my experience so far none of them use headsets so their mic feedback is annoying with a ton of background noise which mostly seems to be a clutch of east end Chavs in some heated argument, or maybe that's just how they always sound, they don't seem to understand nor be able to spell the word feedback and are generally best avoided.
Its a good game and while there are only 5 campaign missions its supposed to be around 8 hours, there are then procedurally generated random missions that follow the same formula and in these you can choose the bridge of the Enterprise NCC1701 to fly. Before doing any missions you really need to complete the training for each station you intend to play. Do Captain training last as its 3 times longer than the others.
Unless other game modes are offered I can see it getting old quickly, the missions are too "samey" - seen one seen them all. If any other games are planned for this universe lets have free movement around key parts of the ship using the turbo lift, away missions to other ships or planets using the transporter room and use of the shuttle bay. There is so much they could have done, what they have done is an acceptable attempt for the time being.
Is it as good as Onward? - Not a chance.

My main Question is why in the hell are they getting the CPU to do graphics! Its like getting the sound card to Mine Bitcoins. My CPU is quite old so i can only run on low. My graphics card is 1070 and could handle anything this game is throwing at it with no issues at all. Its bloody illogical! Why do i need a new I7 for graphics when i have a new Graphics card. Its not like its masses of physics that are added.. just some particle effects etc.. which the card is designed to handle!

Agreed, I have an EVGA GTX 1080 FTW that is nowhere near being fully utilized for this game.

@Bagnet - Soundcards don't mine Bitcoins? then why did I buy six of them to speed up the process? Next you'll be telling us that my mouse doesn't connect me to the Interweb thing.

Who knows.  Hell, why did they use Unity instead of Unreal engine?

Exact same boat here!  Equally galled too.  Left a bad feeling in my mouth.

Let the GPU do GPU stuff; that's their entire purpose! Sure if you have an i7 on a laptop or tablet and want to make it thin but I have a gaming rig!

But I have played the thing on 'Full', for a good couple of goes and apart from the main explosions, which pour out more fizz, there is very little difference to 'auto' which on my rig is 'Low'.

I get an error when I try to purchase Star Trek Bridge Crew from the Oculus Store. It says "Purchase Failed" and then "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later. (OVR53225466)". I tried purchasing from within VR and from the desktop, same thing in both places although in VR I get a different message. It says something like "We're working to fix this as fast as we can" there. I tried restarting and also waited a few hours before trying again.

I got this same message but, oddly, it would let me play once after each reboot then the "Click to Finish Install" message would come up again followed by the "couln't install" message you show below.  However, in those few times I was able to play, I decided the game wasn't worth the trouble and just uninstalled it.  If you are a major Star Trek fan then I suppose it is a "must have" otherwise it's a pass.  It really isn't anywhere hear the level you would expect for a $50 game.  1990's graphics (low poly count, 8 bit color cartoonish textures),  star map is about 50 feet away so you feel like you are in a bubble and can reach out and touch the stars painted on the wall, having to take the headset off to deal with ubsoft signin messages during startup, commander talking without moving his lips during training (ventriloquist?), only about 2 hours of play before it becomes repetitive and boring.  You have to be a really big ST fan to look past all these.  Much better games out there to play.

Hi everyone, just finished install the game,  I receive the same error, saying that it was not possible to install the game. Where can i have a Steam code to install the game from there?
    thanks

I purchased this morning from inside the VR Environment. It took me out to log into my UBISOFT account, which I did. Now it says unable to authenticate I purchased the game. Receipt Number: 61300494676517

Nevermind, it seems to have fixed itself.. all is working now.

Wow, you don't even kinda remember what 90's graphics looked like, do you?

Yeah, I may have exaggerated a little on that particular comment. It just doesn't come close to some of the other titles I've played like ED, EV, Batman, etc.  I didn't really mean to be that harsh on the game. I *might* have played some more if I could have gotten it to install properly but I didn't want to reset the oculus install which would have lost my other game progress (the first step customer support wanted me to do).
