Lone Echo Crash on launch

Can't get Lone Echo to start up, I get a black screen then a Bugsplat error reporting app popping up asking me to report it, which I do and send logs, has anyone else had this problem?, any quick ideas on what I can to to get the dam thing to run?.

    There are a ton of errors there, mostly unrelated to Lone Echo. I would first check to make sure that Rift and all monitors, displays, TVs, etc. are all connected to the primary dedicated GPU and not on the motherboard and not on any secondary video cards. Then please install this Nvidia driver (which is slightly older than I the one you have).

    Also try temporarily disabling anti-virus, firewall, security programs. Also disable any GPU overlay programs like MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, F.lux, etc. Disable any screen sharing or remote desktop apps like TeamViewer, etc. Be sure not to be using any USB video devices.

    Yes of course it's not connected to the motherboard, it's connected to my first HDMI socket on my card and my monitor is on Displayport socket (only using 1 GPU), I get the occassional USB disconnect, even though I've turned the power management off, using Fresco logic card, but only with default Microsoft drivers, I don't use any overlay programs, no antivirus other than windows defender on, no firewall popups for Lone Echo, is there anything specific to my system that's causing problems that you can see?.

    Older drivers have had no effect, now I'm getting this.

    I'm not sure. I've seen this error before but I never found the exact solution. You may want to try uninstalling the game and reinstalling. Also, download the Oculus setup and install in Repair mode.

    Tried game re-install, no change, same with oculus re-install :/ no issues with any other software, only Lone Echo.  Any other suggestions?, I may be forced to refund the game which I really don't want to do.

    Interesting development, I can run the game from it's launcher in "ready-at-dawn-lone-echo/bin/win7/loneEcho" and it works, just cannot under any circumstances launch from Oculus library without the above error.

    Can you check if either of these 2 files exist and delete them it they are there?

    Solved my problem. Mcafee was quarantining loneecho.exe

    I too am unable to launch Lone Echo. However Echo Arena and other games work just fine.

    When I launch LE, I get the white room, stay there for a while first with "Please wait" and then briefly "Lone Echo is taking a while...", and then I get bounced back to Home with no explanation. I disabled Avast AV and there was no change.

    EDIT: I tried Firelance's idea of starting LoneEcho.exe and it still doesn't work. No change after exiting our of MSI Afterburner either.

    I am having the same problem. Cannot launch Lone Echo. It either hangs in the black screen with stars (and no tracking), or it bounces me back to the Oculus Home. What the heck? Driver update didn't help.

    Any solutions yet??

    I sent a PM to LilTrashPanda over Discord and gave him some info. He said he would bring it up with the other devs. Unfortunately LE didn't make any logs itself so I didn't have any to send him, but check in ...\Oculus\Software\Software\ready-at-dawn-lone-echo\_local to see if you do.

    I am also having the same issue.  It will not load same message: package ready at dawn lone echo (ready) failed to launch app 1971014

    I am also having a similar problem in that the single player loads up fine, but when I go to launch Multiplayer from within Lone Echo I just get a Loading screen.  It just sits there and nothing changes ... do I have to download Echo Arena separately from Lone Echo?

    And I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. 

    Ok so downloading Echo Area separately did the trick for me, strange that it requires both to be downloaded independent of each other, not sure if I missed that somewhere ... I just assumed that Lone Echo would have it automatically included.

    McAffe was putting the .exe file in quarantine. You just need to restore the file and put an exception so McAffe doesn't quarantine anymore.

    Lone Echo downloaded and installed something after I booted up my machine. Looks like it updated to 3.89.

    The release notes don't mention anything about fixing launching issues, but it works now.

    SOLVED : I was having this error message, i just uninstall lone echo then reinstall, launch and everything is OK

    Single Player Game crashes several times. No problems with Echo Arena. Windows report shows problem with virtual memory size. I had a fixed virtual memory size of 2 GB. Never had a problem with other games. So i switched to let windows manage virtual memory size, restarted my pc and my problem was solved: no more crashes at all :smile:
    Maybe this could help other people with similar problems.

    Hmm, same crash here on startup. hp z640 with quadro p5000. Things tried so far that haven't helped:
    • installing echo area
    • tried uninstall/reinstall
    • was on auto page size, set it to manual at 16gb
    • ran binary directly from folder
    • turned off antivirus (windows defender in windows 10)
    Any other ideas? I saw mention elsewhere that a patch was due soon, is that likely to address these issues?
