Suddenly have vertical red line in left display of Rift

I was playing on my Rift and I closed my game down to take a break. I returned 15 minutes later and when I put my Rift back on there was a large vertical red line on the left side of the left display.



I've tried different HDMI ports (one a DVI to HDMI adapter), and different USB ports, switched everything off/on and it won't go away. I've only had the Rift about a month and it's been flawless until now.

Any advice? I've submitted a ticket but as it's a Saturday I'm not hopeful on a quick response.

    Sometimes I get red horizontal lines in the left lens, it also gets pretty pixelated. I simply restart my pc and everything goes back to normal

    This is definitely not what happens for me - it's a permanent vertical red line.

    @cybereality is it just me or does Oculus support suck? It's nearly two weeks and all they will tell me is that they are looking into the matter. I really don't want to force a refund but I can't continue to use my Rift like this as the whole experience is spoilt.

    Ok so they are finally arranging a replacement, but they can't deliver to my home country of Luxembourg - these days this is inexcusable especially in Europe, but anyway I am hoping they will accept an alternate address in Germany as requested.

    Defective headset given to UPS for delivery to the Netherlands - still begs the question why it can be returned to Luxembourg.
