Well I am going to be loafing around the house from today through thursday, so that might be a good chance to rack up some likes.. especially if I post some review threads about some of the games I picked up in the sale or a certain impressive VR peripheral I got my hands on this morning (got my VirZoom! Some technical issues preventing me from actually playing it though, I blame having to run it through SteamVR since their app isn't up on Oculus Home yet)

But I think I'd have to score some unexpected badge points to actually break out in first, and I'm not sure if there are any I can achieve in two days' time.

Well, 250 Posts and 25 LOLs are probably not out of reach, so get cracking with some witty remarks! I did see your comment elsewhere about getting the VR bike, so I figured a review thread would be in the works and would generate some points as well.

Just to be clear @SerVitor creating topics does not earn any points and does not contribute to your comments badge. Also I cannot enter the competition for 6 more weeks as per the rules. There was simply no other way to do what I set out to do. I initially tried to post the polls in the community forum so they could be hidden (knowing they would clog up the games and apps forum) and only viewed through the directory thread but the admins here have fixed that bug so that it defaults to the general forum unlike before. Either way, and this goes to anyone else, ignore my position on the leaderboard because I am void. I believe Cyber made a mistake in hinting I am in the running when I'm not.

It's hard to find people who don't love that game; you are in for a real treat! I'd advise you to start with at least some of the single-player mode before you hop online, to get introduced to the game-modes and power-ups one-by-one, but either way be prepared for some serious mayhem.

Also ditto regarding Shadowmask's review/poll threads, I think they were done in a very effective / efficient manner. At this rate I could see Shadow being offered the next moderator position around here.

It's only "all of page 1" if you click on the Games/Apps sub-forum. But that forum doesn't get much traffic compared to the General Discussion forum - which is why they stay taking up the entire first page for so long - and they are a much needed breath of fresh air. While I can agree that Shadowmask is spammy by nature (har har), none of those review posts can compete with the ongoing themes accusing Oculus of dying, or killing VR, or killing the community, or killing themselves, or being killed by Vive, etc.

So I was about to say that I called it correctly with @CrashFu taking the win this week, but I see @Hanover has just jumped into a significant lead with his 250 Likes badge. I think that's got to be the latest "from-behind" upset that this contest has seen so far.

Yeah, I thought I had it in the bag, but those milestone badges are worth some crazy points and I just wasn't anywhere near earning one myself this week.

As for MonHun, the older games of the franchise were on the PlayStation Portable, but at some point capcom stopped making 'em for Sony consoles and started making 'em for Nintendo instead, primarily the 3DS handhelds.

And I dunno man, I put hundreds and hundreds of hours of playtime into the last MH game, so this new one could really take over my life for a while! If you ever find yourself getting a 3DS, I highly recommend it.

(and if anyone else is getting the new game, shoot me a PM so we can hunt together sometime)
