I seem to get more problems with the Oculus software than any other on
my PC. Every time I start the Oculus App I get a box come up 'choose the
location store' and below it lists C:/ Program Files/Oculus/Software? On
the Quest 2 headset and PC link N...
After months of exhausting efforts from Oculus Support and Asus, to try
and get the Quest 2 PC cable link to be recognised by new Intel 11th gen
MB (ROG Maximus XIII Hero). The very last effort was to try a Gigabyte
USB 3.2 Gen2x2 PCIe expansion card...
After seeing a few vids on YouTube about improving graphics and
performance for PC use, I downloaded the latest version of Tray Tool.
Hoping to improve performance in MS Flightsim 2020. Followed various
Tray Tool setting modes but none work, even at ...
See my other posts. I believe there is nothing wrong with this
motherboard, as the ALL the USB ports including the the USB-C ports work
fine with other devices. BUT the Quest 2 Link will NOT work with this

Uninstalled and re-installed Oculus software plus the PTC, and also the
USB Hub and Root Hub Controllers, plus disabled Power Management.
Disabled the 'Thunderbolt' in the Bios, so USB-C ports act as normal USB

and Win 10 not recognising the USB Link...
I now have an alternative fix. Thanks to Oculus 'Air Link'. The Air Link

Obviously because my cable link does not work I can not compare both
types of link. Maybe a solution with th...
Thanks for advice. Windows 10 runs very well. That suggestion is totally
out of the question, as it would take hours and hours and days to
reinstall all my apps and especially MS Flightsim 2020 which is huge.
I have disabled the the 2 USB-C Thunderbolt ports. Reconnected the Quest
2 and still does not work. All the other USB ports, 3.2 (red), 3.1
(blue) and 2.0 (black) are all the A type. The Oculus Link cable is
USB-C both ends, so to try and connect to ...
Thanks so much. I have no idea what 'Thunderbolt' is? The ROG Maximus
XIII Hero Manual does not say. These are the only 2 USB-C ports on the
MB. Yes I do have spare 3.1 USB-A ports. Maybe if I disable these 2
USB-C Thunderbolt ports in the Bios, thes...
