Discover an Immersive Horror Adventure in Edge of Nowhere - Available Now on Rift
Edge of Nowhere, the intense, third-person action-adventure title from Insomniac Games and Oculus Studios, is now live on the Oculus Store for Rift! Traverse the mountains of Antarctica as Victor Howard in search of a mysteriously vanished expedition. Edge of Nowhere blends adventure gameplay with elements of Lovecraftian horror where nothing is what it seems.
Check out the trailer:
Treacherous wilds and crumbling sanity
Designed and developed specifically for VR, Edge of Nowhere puts you right into a 1920s rescue operation in the most remote part of the world. Every scramble up a towering cliff of ice or sprint across a crumbling bridge feels like you’re clinging to dear life.
What starts as a rescue mission takes a turn for the worse as you delve deeper into a terrifying world where reality twists and warps around you. Shadows trick your eyes, and you’ll quickly find that the unexpected lurks everywhere. Explore alien caves, uncover terrible secrets, and use your wits and makeshift weapons to survive the monstrous entities and madness that await.
“Being on the front lines of VR is exhilarating,” says Ted Price, Insomniac’s CEO. “Devising ways to tell stories with new technology is something that has a magical appeal for us. Edge of Nowhere is built from the ground up for VR. Working with Oculus to take advantage of what’s possible in VR has helped us discover novel ways to engage players.”
Edge of Nowhere is part of a classic genre of games that now have radically more potential thanks to the immersion of VR. Insomniac is one of the best in the industry at creating these sorts of experiences, and we can’t wait to see what you think of their latest game.
Madness awaits.

I am a huge Lovecraft fan and the shortage of games inspired by his work, makes this one of my most anticipated games of the year!
